The International Association of Physics Students (IAPS) is an association of physics students and student societies from around the globe, working to promote peaceful collaborations amongst them. Our members are represented by National and Local Committees. IAPS also includes Individual Members in locations where no National or Local Committees exist. IAPS currently has over 90,000 members, 24 National Committees and 21 Local Committees.
The European Physical Society (EPS) is a not for profit association whose members include 42 National Physical Societies in Europe, individuals from all fields of physics, and European research institutions. As a learned society, the EPS engages in activities that strengthen ties among the physicists in Europe. As a federation of National Physical Societies, the EPS studies issues of concern to all European countries relating to physics research, science policy and education.
International networking, young researchers involvement with the scientific community, promotion of science among local communities - these should be goals of every young researcher in Europe. Of course, these highly-rewarding activities are time-consuming and hence the focus of most young minds is on getting their research task done, be it in the lab or in front of a computer. A strong institutional support is therefore deeply needed. And this is the kind of support is now available in the framework of the EPS Young Minds Project.
